Alexei Altair Kara was a Greek man and Janissary of the Ottoman Empire, born in the late 15th century.
As a young boy, Alexei Kara was taken from his home and taken to Turkey. He was converted to Muslim, which was the religion that the Turks followed. He was trained as an elite protector of the Sultan.
In 1511, Alexei was chasing a criminal across rooftops, attempting to take them down. Leaping across the street, he fell and broke each leg. However, he later recovered.
